It’s not like any other networking event in Nottingham, and here’s why…
1. Networking at your own pace
Our Networking Brunch is the most relaxed networking event in Nottingham.
The Business Social Networking Brunch started in Nottingham in 2022 as a way to bring local businesses together in a sociable manner.
We didn’t want to put on an event like all the others out there. We wanted something relaxed, supportive, and approachable – an event where people feel they’re around life-long friends.
There’s no format at our brunch – simply rock up, mooch about, and chat to whoever you like for as long or as little as you like.
Oh, and there are no name stickers or lanyards (except for our wonderful host, and Founder, Gemma).
2. Gorgeous venue
Everyone loves the vibe at The Botanist.
Our Nottingham Networking Event didn’t happen by accident. It was created as there was nothing else quite like it in Notts.
The venue (The Botanist in West Bridgford) was chosen because it’s the perfect environment for a morning of chilled networking – quirky decor, cosy vibes, wheelchair accessible, and plenty of nearby parking.
3. The very best company
We attract the loveliest of Nottinghamshire businesses.
It’s like we’ve curated an intentional room of businesses from Nottinghamshire and surrounding areas. But that’s not the case!
Maybe it’s our content, our imagery, or our marketing. Whatever it is, we’re doing something right because at every Nottingham Brunch, we seem to attract the loveliest of people – and on average 60% of people you meet will be brand new to our events (that’s the beauty of non-membership events).

4. You'll be fed and watered
Enjoy your morning caffeine fix and a delicious brunch.
In our opinion a networking event isn’t a networking event without food. The Botanist chef knocks up the most delicious buffet brunch for you to enjoy as you continue the conversation – and there’s always enough for seconds!
You can expect things like smashed avocado on sourdough, sausage and bacon butties, and scrambled eggs.
5. No pressure, pitches, or presentations
It's not our vibe, sorry.
We’ve all been there – wanting the ground to swallow us up when it’s “our turn”, or listening to a presentation for what felt like 4 hours.
We don’t want anyone to feel any pressure when attending our Nottingham Networking Brunch, which is why we’re a firm no when it comes to pitches and presentations.
We appreciate networking events with these things, and attend them ourselves, but it’s not for The Business Social – because it’s a social 😉
