My absolute favourite networking events in Nottingham
We’ve scoped out and are regular attendees at many networking events in Nottingham, but here are a handful of our absolute favourites. If you’ve not been before, get yourself booked on to one of the following.
In no particular order…
Coalesco Networking Event
Once a month at Beeston Fields Golf Club
It’s a relaxed vibe with 1-2 speakers, time for open networking, a delicious lunch, and free parking.
I first attended the Coalesco networking event in March 2026 – their second event of this kind, and I have to say, I loved it. There were two interesting talks, one about AI and one about the real cost of working with a videographer.
There was a good variety of businesses in the room, one of which recommended a landscape gardener who I’m now in touch with, and lots of people I’d never met before (that’s what you want out of an event, no?).
Nottingham City Business Club (NCBC)
3rd Friday of the month at Motorpoint Arena, Nottingham City Centre
Now I’m not a huge fan of annual memberships, but this one is my non-negotiable. I’ve been a member for a few years now.
There’s always a nice mix of open networking, great speakers, club announcements, and business news from around the city. Plus, there’s rarely fewer than 100 businesses in the room – if you prefer a more intimate networking experience, this probably isn’t the one for you.
When you arrive you get a welcome drink which you can enjoy whilst mingling with other businesses. You’ll enjoy a tasty 2-course lunch where you’ll be sat on tables of up to 8 people (top tip – always sit with people you’ve not met before), and when it’s all wrapped up, many head over to Spotlight Bar, opposite, to continue the conversation.
If you’d like to give this one a go, let me know.
The Business Social (sorry, not sorry)
2nd Thursday in Ruddington & 4th Friday in West Bridgford
Obviously I’m going to take the opportunity to give my own networking events a plug – I’d be daft not to.
My popular Networking Brunch is probably the most laid back networking event of all of them on this page.
Arrive from 10am, grab your welcome drink, enjoy relaxed conversations at your own pace, and tuck into a delicious brunch. This one takes place at The Botanist in West Bridgford on the 4th Friday of the month and attracts around 60% new people every time.
I’ve also recently launched something new – my Business Clinic & Mastermind Networking Event. This one is all about supporting our peers, getting motivated, and leaving feeling inspired. It’s part open networking and part collaborative group discussions – put your own topics forward or sit, listen, and take notes. Join us on the 2nd Thursday of month at The Heart in Ruddington.
And let’s not forget The Small Biz Xmas Shindig! This is not to be missed, and attracts businesses from outside of Nottingham too, including Lincoln, South Yorkshire, London, and elsewhere. This is for all of us Founders, Freelancers, Solopreneurs, and teeny tiny businesses who otherwise wouldn’t get a Christmas Party – this is for you! This year’s xmas party takes place in Nottingham on Friday 11 December, and pre-sale tickets are already up for grabs.
I’m so proud of what I’ve created with The Business Social, and love how many first-timers my networking events attract.
Rushcliffe Business Partnership (RBP)
Two Fridays every month in Rushcliffe
And finally, Rushcliffe Business Partnership.
This was one of the first networking events I attended after leaving my job and running my businesses full time.
There’s a really small membership fee of just £5 per month (you’d hardly notice it) and most events are free to attend, with the occasional social event and workshop being an exception.
The fortnightly morning networking events start at 8am (great for me as I’m an early bird) and take place in either West Bridgford or Ruddington (sometimes in other areas within the borough).
Really relaxed vibes and you can come and go as you please.
If you register as a member you get a business listing on their website, and they invite you to submit an article which they share to their network, mailing list etc.
I have a particular soft spot for RBP as I volunteer on the steering committee.
Coffee & Cannoli
Once a month at Gusto, Nottingham City Centre
Informal city centre networking at a beautiful Italian restaurant (Trinity Square is your closest parking).
I’ve attended Catena’s Coffee & Cannoli event a few times, and although my diary rarely allows me to get to this particular event, it’s still one of my faves because I like the vibe.
You get a welcome drink on arrival, and a choice of authentic cannoli – yum!
Claire Bicknell who hosts the event is a great person to be connected with – she knows literally everyone.
Which networking events will you be trying?
So there you have it, a handful of my favourite networking events in Nottingham.
Do any of them sound like a little bit of you?
If you’d like an introduction, or fancy coming with me to any of the events, give me a shout – equally, if you have any questions about The Business Social, I’m just a message away.
